Andrei Markovits: How Biased German Media Feed the Cycle of Anti-Americanism

This video featuring Andrei S. Markovits, (the Karl W. Deutsch Collegiate Professor of Comparative Politics and German Studies in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures as well as Professor of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Michigan,) confirms something we reported earlier:
Newspaper editors in Germany are pressuring correspondents in the United States to skew their coverage and feed negative attitudes about the United States:




Unfortunately, the vicious cycle is a self-reinforcing mechanism. As media becomes more anti-American, the public becomes more anti-American - raising demand for even more anti-Americanism. Sadly, neither German nor American leaders in government or media are doing much to address this.
